एक इमारत में 12 व्यक्ति M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, K, L, I, और J, 6 भिन्न मंजिलों अर्थात् 22, 23, 25, 28, 31 और 38, से हैं। प्रत्येक मंजिल को 6 भिन्न रंगों, अर्थात् लाल, नीला, हरा, पीला, सफ़ेद और बैंगनी, से रंगा गया है। प्रत्येक मंजिल की संख्या भिन्न है, अर्थात् 10A, 13B, 11D, 6C, 20E और 18B। प्रत्येक मंजिल से केवल 2 व्यक्ति हैं। मंजिल 25 का रंग सफ़ेद नहीं है। T, मंजिल 22 से है, जिसका रंग नीला है। M, I सम संख्या वाली मंजिल से हैं। O, S, L विषम संख्या वाली मंजिल से हैं। मंजिल 38 की संख्या 11D है। 20E, एक विषम संख्या वाली मंजिल की संख्या है लेकिन यह मंजिल 25 नहीं है। R, P के साथ मंजिल 31 से है। K की मंजिल की संख्या 13B है और उसका रंग पीला है जबकि P की मंजिल संख्या 18B है और उसका रंग हरा है। M और N एक ही मंजिल से हैं। L मंजिल 25 से नहीं है। I की मंजिल की संख्या 10A है। Q मंजिल 23 से है, जिसका रंग लाल है। K सम संख्या वाली मंजिल से है।

Solution:

(i) From given conditions M, I are from even numbered floor. O, S, L are from odd numbered floor. Q is from floor 23, whose color is red. T is from floor 22, whose color is blue. R is from floor 31 with P. P’s floor number is 18B and color is green.

(ii) K’s floor number is 13B and color is yellow. K is from even numbered floor. The number of floor 38 is 11D, hence K is from floor 28. M and N are from same floor, so M and N are from floor 38. I’s floor number is 10A, so I is from floor 22.   
 
(iii) L is not from floor 25, so L is from floor 23. Only one place is remaining for S, so S is from floor 25. 20E is a number of an odd numbered floor but it is not floor 25, hence 20E is a number of floor 23 and 6C is a number of floor 25. It will be fixed that O is from floor 25 and J is from floor 28. Color of floor 25 is not white, so white is a color of floor 38. Violet color will be fixed for floor 25 and we will get final answer.
