The beginning of creating this success story was in the year 2018, two years after I completed my graduation. It’s very hard to compile all the struggles and failures I have seen in my life till now in just a few words but I would surely love to tell people how failures can make them a completely different person, how they are actually developing when they think they are losing. I have failed maybe an uncountable number of times in these 3 years but now I am here, selected as RRB Officer Scale-I in Aryavart Bank and also as a  PO in Bank of India.
Talking about preparation, I started giving exams in 2016 and the very first exam was SBI Clerk. But back then, I was not at all interested in being a Banker so I never cared for studying for it. In 2018, I was suddenly attracted to these exams because I wanted to get employed. The very first exam in front of me was again SBI Clerk. I started searching for online sources and BankersAdda has always been a very popular face for banking aspirants so I searched its website and some other stuff on youtube. It was hard for me to understand what exactly I need to do and as I was weak in Quants I thought studying quants would suffice the need to get a job. However, I failed in SBI Clerk. This failure was the first after actually studying for the exam so I was a bit sad but I kept on my preparations because this time I knew merely quants wouldn’t do all the magic. A team of three faculty members newly joined Adda247 then(now no more with Adda) and I started studying from them. Then I knew which exactly is the road I have to take. I was still failing in all the prelims but I felt I was improving. The first prelims I ever cleared was in July 2019 and that was SBI Clerk(co-incidentally again SBI Clerk) along with FCI. I had both the mains and now I was confused because I didn’t know how to appear in the Mains examination. However, I gave the exams and couldn’t clear of course because I wasn’t prepared well enough. I was again a bit upset because a major reason all the aspirants are upset about is that they have to restart from the beginning every time they fail. The next time I appeared for Mains was IBPS PO Mains on Nov 30, 2019. For the preparations, I preferred the same teachers and for GA, I went to “The Ashish Gautam Sir” as usual. He is the one who makes GA the most interesting section and I stuck to him from the beginning to the end. But I missed IBPS PO Mains by 5 marks and cleared IBPS Clerk Pre. I again prepared, gave all the efforts, and beautifully failed again. For all the failures I have seen after I have tried so much to succeed, I cried, perhaps the whole night sometimes because I was hurt with the continuous failures I had and I started losing hopes for any further success in the whole life. Meanwhile, I got selected for some private banks but the heart never accepted to give up on these exams so I did not join. The heart never wanted to regret that it never tried again. I gave SBI Clerk Pre in Feb 2020 and then the lockdown happened so there were no results for the next 8 months. After the lockdown, the first exam was RRB PO pre, SBI Clerk gave the results for the Mains examination to be held only after 10 days. I again followed Ashish Gautam Sir and I gave everything I had at that time in those 10 days. I attempted 112 questions and was so sure that I would clear the exam. On the result day i.e. on Dec 24, 2020, I again wasn’t able to find my roll number in the final selection list and got around 84 marks. I was deeply hurt this time and decided to quit. The result of the prelims I gave for other exams were still pending so I decided not to give them and do something else rather than wasting time in banking. I got hurt every time I failed but this was something different. On Jan 1, 2021, the heart again did not accept giving up and I decided to do everything for the one last time. The failure in SBI Clerk brutally hurt my ego and I was into every mains examination preparation. I was all ears to only two people, one was Ashish Gautam sir and the other was my elder cousin, Abhishek Dubey, who is currently in Canara Bank. I just implemented all the plans and strategies they told me and kept on following it up day and night. The result was positive for the first time and I had my interviews for RRB PO, SBI PO, and IBPS PO. I studied Banking Awareness from Ashish Sir and appeared for a Mock Interview offline. And now I am here, writing this success story and crying the tears of joy with people who were there for me and who believed in me whenever I did not believe in myself. What I had in me was just the voice of my heart that never accepted to give up. The difference in preparation of all the other exams in which I failed and the ones I passed was my madness. Ashish Sir once said, “pagal hona padega dost” and I took it very seriously.
Remember, you will fail, you will cry, you will want to give up and leave, but what one of my friends always taught me was, “Fortune favors the brave”. Be brave.
