SPLURGE (verb) : शेख़ी
Meaning: to spend extravagantly or ostentatiously.
अर्थ: फालतू या आडंबरपूर्वक खर्च करना।

Antonyms: accumulate, hoard, conserve, preserve.
Usage: I feel like splurging on a new dress.

DETENTE (noun) : शांति बनाए रखने
Meaning:  the easing of hostility or strained relations, especially between countries.
अर्थ: विशेष रूप से देशों के बीच शत्रुता या तनावपूर्ण संबंधों में ढील।
Synonyms: agreement, peace, amity, concord.
Antonyms: disruptive, antagonism, antipathy, hostility.
Usage: The policy of detente was scrapped and the objective was increasingly to roll back the Soviet Union.

CONTENTIOUS (adjective) : विवादास्पद
Meaning: causing or likely to cause an argument; controversial.
अर्थ: तर्क करने का कारण या संभावना; विवादास्पद।
Synonyms: disputable, debatable, moot, vexed.
Antonyms: agreeable, nonbelligerent, pacific, peaceful.
Usage: This last piece of evidence is particularly contentious and likely to feature prominently in the appeal.

EXONERATE (Verb) : हक़ बहाल करना
Meaning: (of an official body) absolve (someone) from blame for a fault or wrongdoing.
अर्थ: (एक आधिकारिक निकाय के) दोष या गलत काम के लिए किसी को दोष देना।
Synonyms: absolve, clear, acquit,
Antonyms: charge, convict
Usage: The job of the defense attorney is to exonerate his clients and keep them out of jail.

PERNICIOUS (Adjective) : हानिकारक
Meaning: having a harmful effect, especially in a gradual or subtle way.
अर्थ: हानिकारक प्रभाव होना, विशेष रूप से क्रमिक या सूक्ष्म तरीके से।
Synonyms: harmful, damaging, destructive, injurious
Antonyms: beneficial, benign, favourable
Usage: If you are going to behave in such a pernicious manner, I would prefer to not be around you.

MUZZLE (Verb) : चुप्पी
Meaning: prevent (a person or group) from expressing their opinions freely.
अर्थ: स्वतंत्र रूप से अपनी राय व्यक्त करने से (एक व्यक्ति या समूह) को रोकें।
Synonyms: gag, silence, censor, suppress, stifle
Antonyms: permit, release
Usage: The highest court in the land came down heavily on the attempt by the administration to use its clout to muzzle the media.

DRACONIAN (adjective) : बेरहम
Meaning: excessively harsh and severe.
अर्थ: अत्यधिक कठोर और गंभीर।
Synonyms: cruel, brutal, oppressive, ruthless.
Antonyms: mild, amenable, temperate, gentle.
Usage: There was a time when I would have argued that our libel laws were draconian and should be amended.

VEST (verb) : निहित होना
Meaning: confer or bestow (power, authority, property, etc.) on someone.
अर्थ: किसी पर शक्ति या अधिकार (शक्ति, अधिकार, संपत्ति इत्यादि) प्रदान करना या देना।
Synonyms: entrust, invest, bestow, confer.
Antonyms: impede, inhibit, disqualify, disbar.
Usage: Extensive powers were vested into the hands of the President who headed the executive branch of government.

HOBBLE (verb) : लड़खड़ाते हुए चलना
Meaning: walk in an awkward way, typically because of pain from an injury.
अर्थ: एक अजीब तरीके से चलना, आम तौर पर एक चोट से दर्द के कारण।
Synonyms: totter, dodder, falter, lurch.
Antonyms: breeze, glide, sail, stride.
