Success Story of Sudhirkumar Singh Selected As IBPS PO 2022

Hi everyone, this is Sudhirkumar Singh, cleared IBPS PO exam 2022-23 (Alloted Central Bank Of India) while working full-time in IT Sector(previously in TCS, Now in Accenture). Sharing my success story here and hope it will inspire many aspirants.
It all started in November 2018, when my friend Sumit cleared SBI PO exam and told me also to prepare for it. I checked the syllabus and after coming from the office, I started to give 2 hours daily for preparation.
The preparation was going at a very slow pace, but then Covid and Lockdown happened and it came as a blessing for me as TCS told us to work from home and I got more time to prepare. I have given all IBPS PO/Clerk and SBI PO/JA exams in 2020-21 but could not able to clear Prelim for even a single exam. In Aug 2021, I switched to Accenture from TCS. I have given all the IBPS and SBI exams in 2021-22 and was able to clear IBPS PO Prelim and SBI JA Prelim.

Then comes my selection year 2022-23. Given first exam that is RRB PO and failed Prelim by 0.5 marks and there I was quite disappointed as first exam only I failed and that also in prelim. Then I understood that I have to be hard on myself. I started to stop going out with friends, not attend functions and devote maximum time to study for 6 months September to March. I have cleared IBPS and SBI Clerk prelim (But failed in mains), Cleared IBPS PO(Selected in Central Bank of India), Cleared SBI PO pre, mains and an interview scheduled on 6th April 2023. It took 4 years to clear the exam but i really enjoyed the process as I was managing my IT work as well as Banking preparation. I am sharing my strategy for each subject:–

Quants:– Here you need to prepare for two sections that is Speed maths and Arithmetic. Speed maths you can practice from any online platform quiz section. Next comes Arithmetic, without arithmetic, it is very difficult to get marks in mains. So, I made a list of every arithmetic chapter and solve 5-10 questions from 2-3 arithmetic chapters daily.

Reasoning:– Reasoning has two sections that is Puzzle and Miscellaneous. For Puzzle, I downloaded some PDFs and used to solve them and for Miscellaneous topics, I used the same strategy which I used for Arithmetic.
English:– I used to read one article daily and check the meaning of difficult words in Google Translate. I solve daily quizzes provided on online sites.

General Awareness:– I used to watch Ashish Gautam’s daily videos and for revising I download monthly PDFs from the Adda247 site. If you want to get good marks in GA, you need to revise it at least 3-4 times before the exam.
Descriptive:– As I work in IT, I need to write emails daily. So, I haven’t worked hard for this section. So, try to write 2-3 essays and letters in a week.

Interview:– Due to work in IT sector, I used to attend status calls daily and it helped me in my English speaking and confidence building. For the interview, you can make one friend and try to talk in English with him/her. It will really help.
