Hello Everyone,

I am Pooja Yadav from Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan). I did my matriculation from my village. After that, I moved to a nearby town from where I completed +2 and graduation (B.Tech) from IIT Delhi.

Initially, I was inspired to become a Civil Servant. But after some failure, my family was heartbroken then my brother tried to persuade me to look out other options. When I refused to do so then he filled up the form without my permission and then before 1 week of the exam he informed and convinced me to attempt this exam. Unfortunately, I cleared prelims because of my skills in basic. After the prelims result, I thought to give a chance to this exam and started preparation in the remaining time.  My Strategy:

For Prelims:

If your basic Mathematics and English skills are good then I don’t think there is a need of investing much time on prelims. During Attempting prelims paper, I noticed some things which helped me in clearing the mains exam.

1. English: Don’t worry about time. Read comprehension two times and try to understand the meaning of comprehension. The line to line matching is not every time useful.

2.Reasoning: It needs a lot of practice because of the puzzle. If you are able to solve all puzzles and then you can easily clear the reasoning section. Other than puzzles, no need of worrying about other sections because that section varies basic.

3.Quant: In this section, always a lack of time and a more efficient section. Because of lack of time, this section becomes less scoring. To clear this section, try to know the short trick rather than solving them proper methodology. 

For Mains:

If during prelims, English, Reasoning, and Quant are well prepared so in mains only 2 extra section is: Banking awareness, Essay, and latter writing.

Adda 247’s youtube classes helped me a lot in preparing banking awareness and current affairs. One thing that I liked about Adda247 is that they covered current affairs with a static portion. Because of a lack of time, I was not able to cover the static portion. But Adda247 helped me in covering current affairs and static portion. 

For essay and latter writing, I didn’t need of investing much time because of civil service preparation and good typing speed. So I completed the essay section on time. 

I joined the test series to manage time and for time to time revision of the syllabus.

Interview:

After the mains result, I took Anil Bhatnagar Sir tips for interview and watched the mock interview coaching. I worked on every point on my application form.

So this is my strategy, which helped me in clearing the IBPS PO exam in the first attempt.
