My name is Akash A H. I have been born and brought up in Chitradurga (karnataka). I have done a BE in Mechanical Engineering.
My preparation journey started in dec 2019, and it had many ups and downs. However, I survived the testing times mainly because banking was not an exam for me but my passion. I had many failures, but my family always motivated me to prepare hard for the next time, and they never let me down. I have faced many interviews during this journey and given Mains too many times. Today, I have cleared SBI JA with the support of my family and also my hard work.
Exams i attended,
IBPS Clerk 2019- failed in prelims.
SBI JA 2020 – cleared pre but failed in mains.
IBPS PO -Cleared pre but failed in mains
SBI PO- Cleared pre, mains failed
IBPS clerk 2020- cleared pre, mains failed by 2 marks
Finally after many ups and downs,
Got selected as SBI JA(2021).
Preparation Strategies-
English
English is a subject in which improvement needs time. I watched lectures from various available sources. But, after a few days, I started to forget all the rules. So, instead of learning rules, I tried to remember only the basic rules of tense, subject-verb agreement, and with that, I learned vocabulary from reading novels, newspapers and at last I was reading whatever English piece of paper i get. With continuous practice and reading, I started getting good marks.
Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Awareness:
I learned the basic concepts and shortcut tricks from various sources and refined my approaches after that(as I was weak in maths and Reasoning was my strength). Refining your approach continuously should be your main aim. In the Reasoning Section, I followed different sources for puzzles, logical reasoning, and the miscellaneous part, and then, I gave mocks and mocks when exam are near I used to take sometimes 3 mocks per day. For the General Awareness section, which is the game changer section, I changed my sources various times.
Mocks are the lifeline of Bank exams.
I especially want to thank Adda 247 for providing all the previous year’s papers on their website at so much ease and without any charge, one will never find those previous year’s papers on any other websites, previous year’s papers really helped me a lot. Thank you for hearing my story.
