1. GRAVITAS (noun)  गंभीरता
Meaning: dignity, seriousness, or solemnity of manner.
Synonyms: grandeur, sobriety, distinction, stateliness, majesty, prestige, staidness, nobility.
Antonyms: mischief, rascality, mischievousness, frivolity, roguishness, lightheartedness. 
Usage: It is going to take a commander with a lot of gravitas to lead this discouraged group of soldiers into battle.
2. PANACHE (noun)  आडम्बर
Meaning: flamboyant confidence of style or manner.
Synonyms: stylishness, flair, dash, flourish, verve, zest, spirit, brio, vivacity, vigor, gusto, animation, liveliness, vitality.
Antonyms: maladroitness, clumsiness, retardation, gaucherie, cower, tackiness, ungainliness, inclemency, stiffness.

3. SLEIGHT (noun)  धूर्तता
Meaning: a clever often underhanded means to achieve an end
Synonyms: artifice, dodge, flimflam, gambit, gimmick, jig, knack, ploy, shenanigan, stratagem, trick, wile.
Antonyms: inadequacy, incompetence, ineptitude, ineptness, doltishness, dopiness, dullness, dumbness, fatuity, foolishness, obtuseness.
Usage: He must have employed some sophisticated sleight to con that wary couple out of their money.
4. FALTER (verb)  डगमगाना
Meaning: to show uncertainty about the right course of action
Synonyms: balance, dither, halt, hang back, hesitate, scruple, sway, stagger, teeter, vacillate, waver.
Antonyms: decide, budge, stir, steady, persist, remain, maintain, continue.  
Usage: Martin Luther King, Jr. never once faltered in his demand for equal rights.
5. HYSTERICAL (adjective)  उन्माद
Meaning: affected by or deriving from wildly uncontrolled emotion.
Synonyms: overwrought, unrestrained, frenzied, frantic, wild, feverish, mad, crazed, berserk, maniac, delirious, unhinged, derange, raving. 
Antonyms: placid, serene, tranquil, coolheaded, undisturbed, unperturbed, unshaken, collected, composed. 
Usage: Leaders counseled the people not to get hysterical over the spread of the disease.
6. WOEBEGONE (adjective)  उदास
Meaning: sad or miserable in appearance.
Synonyms: dejected, forlorn, crestfallen, abject, downcast, glum, gloomy, doleful, downhearted, despondent, melancholy, lugubrious, desolate, wretched. 
Antonyms: blissful, buoyant, cheerful, chipper, delighted, glad, gladdened, gladsome, gleeful, joyous, jubilant, sunny, upbeat. 
Usage: The mother could tell that her son was woebegone when she told him that he was grounded.

7. MYSTIQUE (noun)  रहस्यपूर्ण
Meaning: a quality of mystery, glamour, or power associated with someone or something.
Synonyms:  charisma, glamour, mystery, fascination, magic, spell, charm, appeal, allure, awe, aura.
Antonyms: plainness, limpidity, perspicuity, resplendency, lucidity, luster. 
Usage: The detective was captivated by the suspect’s mystique.

8. PALLIATE (verb)  कम करना
Meaning: make (a disease or its symptoms) less severe without removing the cause.
Synonyms: alleviate, ease, relieve, soothe, assuage, allay, dull, soften, lessen, moderate, temper, mitigate, abate. 
Antonyms: hurt, impair, injure, heighten, intensify, sharpen, aggravate, exacerbate. 
Usage: This medicine should palliate your cough at least a little.

9. Plenary (adjective)  परिपूर्ण
Meaning: unqualified; absolute.
Synonyms: unconditional, unlimited, unrestricted, complete, comprehensive, plenipotentiary, integral, intact, grand, whole.
Antonyms: abbreviated, abridged, cut, diminished, reduced, imperfect, incomplete, partial.
Usage: The delegation to the international convention was given plenary authority to negotiate a treaty in the nation’s best interest.

10. REPINE (verb)  विलाप करना
Meaning: feel or express discontent; fret.
Synonyms: mope, languish, miserable, upset, despondent, brood, lament, grieve, mourn, sorrow, pine, agonize.
Antonyms: complacent, fulfilled, acclaim, exult, rejoice, contented, satisfied. 
Usage: The soldiers repine for their families when they are stationed overseas.
