1. Munition [myoo-nish-uh n]- शास्त्र /युद्ध सामग्री 
Noun: Usually, munitions. materials used in war, especially weapons and ammunition; material or equipment for carrying on any undertaking.
Verb: to provide with munitions.
Synonyms: ammo, armament, arsenal, bombs, bullets, explosives, grenades.

Example: At a time when India is caught in a major military standoff with China at Dokalam, the CAG has presented a dismal picture of the Army’s War Wastage Reserve (WWR) ammunition, especially of high caliber equipment needed to wage intense war.


2. Dismal [diz-muh l]- शोकमय/अप्रसन्न /निराशाजनक  
Adjective: causing gloom or dejection; gloomy; dreary; cheerless; melancholy; characterized by ineptness or lack of skill, competence, effectiveness, imagination, or interest; pitiful.
Noun: Southern U.S. a tract of swampy land, usually along the coast.
Synonyms: depressing, dim, discouraging, disheartening, dull, ghastly, horrible, horrid, miserable, murky, sad, afflictive, black, boring.
Antonyms: bright, cheerful, clear, encouraging, favorable, happy.

3. Ammunition [am-yuh-nish-uh n]- गोलाबारूद/लड़ाई का सामान  
Noun: the material fired, scattered, dropped, or detonated from any weapon, as bombs or rockets, and especially shot, shrapnel, bullets, or shells fired by guns; the means of igniting or exploding such material, as primers, fuzes, and gunpowder.
Synonyms: ammo, armament, bomb, bullet, cartridge, chemical, explosive, gunpowder.

4. Caliber [kal-uh-ber]- नली का विस्तार/क्षमता 
Noun: the diameter of something of circular section, especially that of the inside of a tube; Ordnance. the diameter of the bore of a gun taken as a unit of measurement; degree of capacity or competence; ability.
Synonyms: ability, competence, quality, stature, talent, appetency, capability, constitution.
Antonyms: inability, inadequacy, incompetence, weakness.

Example: The report tabled on Friday is a follow-up audit on the measures taken after the CAG’s earlier report on “Ammunition Management in Army,” tabled in 2015.

5. Audit [aw-dit]- लेखा-परिक्षण/हिसाब की जांच करना  
Noun: an official examination and verification of accounts and records, especially of financial accounts; a report or statement reflecting an audit; a final statement of account; the inspection or examination of a building or other facility to evaluate or improve its appropriateness, safety, efficiency, or the like.
Verb: to make an audit of; examine (accounts, records, etc.) for purposes of verification.
Synonyms: analysis, check, examination, investigation, review, scrutiny, survey.

Example: Taming inflationary expectations.

6. Tame [teym]- नीरस,पालतू,साधारण
Adjective: changed from the wild or savage state; domesticated; without the savageness or fear of humans normal in wild animals; gentle, fearless, or without shyness, as if domesticated; tractable, docile, or submissive, as a person or the disposition; lacking in excitement; dull; insipid.
Verb: to make tame; domesticate; make tractable; to deprive of courage, ardor, or zest; to deprive of interest, excitement, or attractiveness; make dull; to soften; tone down.
Synonyms: docile, gentle, harmless, manageable, mild, subdued, acclimatized, bridled, broken, busted.
Antonyms: harsh, rough, violent, bright.

7. Inflationary [in-fley-shuh-ner-ee]- स्फीति विषयक/मुद्राप्रसार 
Adjective: of, pertaining to, reflective of, or causing inflation.

Example: The relatively high double-digit inflation experienced between 2010 to 2013 was an aberration, which had a political consequence.

8. Aberration [ab-uh-rey-shuh n]- पथभ्रष्टता/विपथगमन/भूल 
Noun: the act of departing from the right, normal, or usual course; the act of deviating from the ordinary, usual, or normal type.
Synonyms: peculiarity,  quirk,  oddity,  eccentricity,  delusion,  strangeness.
Antonyms: normality, usualness, conformity, regularity, sameness.

Example: The credit for this goes to the vigilance of the political system and also to effective monetary management.

9. Vigilance [vij-uh-luh ns]- सतर्कता/चौकसी/मुस्तैदी 
Noun: state or quality of being vigilant; watchfulness.
Synonyms: alertness, caution, diligence, surveillance, acuity, attention, attentiveness, circumspection, lookout.
Antonyms: indifference, neglect, carelessness, impulsiveness, indiscretion.

10. Monetary [mon-i-ter-ee, muhn-] मुद्रा/द्रव्य-संबंधी/धन/सम्बंधित 
Adjective: of or relating to the coinage or currency of a country; of or relating to money; pecuniary.

Synonyms: budgetary, financial, fiscal, pecuniary, capital, cash, commercial, pocket.
