Postpone JEE NEET 2020: जैसा कि केंद्र सरकार 1 सितंबर से प्रवेश परीक्षा आयोजित करने का फैसला ले चुकी है, पर कुछ ऐसे राज्य है जो लगातार इस परीक्षा को स्थगित करने की मांग कर रहे हैं. देश में इस समय तेजी से कोरोना केस बढ़ रहें हैं, जिसके चलते इस परीक्षा पर रोक लगाने की मांग की जा रही है. जब से JEE & NEET exams सितम्बर में करने का फैसला  लिया गया है और एडमिट जारी किये गए हैं, तब से students और parents इसका विरोध कर रहे हैं. राजनेताओं और मशहूर हस्तियों ने भी ट्विटर के माध्यम इस परीक्षा पर रोक लगाने की अपील की है.

7 Chief Ministers to Move Supreme Court – सुप्रीम कोर्ट तह यह मामला पहुँच गया है 

कल कांग्रेस नेता, सोनिया गांधी के साथ एक virtual meeting में, 7 गैर-भाजपा मुख्यमंत्रियों ने बैठक में भाग लिया और JEE NEET  परीक्षा के आयोजन के बारे में चर्चा की. बैठक का निष्कर्ष यह निकला कि सातों मुख्यमंत्री लाखों स्टूडेंट्स और उनके अभिवावकों का यह मुद्दा सुप्रिक कोर्ट तक ले कर जायेंगे. 

JEE  और NEET 2020 को स्थगित करने के समर्थन में, सात मुख्यमंत्रियों ने इस मुद्दे के लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट जाने का फैसला किया है. जैसा कि सरकार सितंबर 2020 में JEE NEET परीक्षाओं के संचालन के बारे में अपने निर्णय से नहीं हट रही है, ऐसे में 6 राज्यों और 1 UT ने 1 सितंबर से परीक्षा के निर्णय के खिलाफ सुप्रीम कोर्ट में याचिका दायर करने का फैसला किया है. 

इसके अलावा, DMK और AAP जैसी अन्य राजनीतिक पार्टियाँ भी इस महत्वपूर्ण समय में National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) और Joint Entrance Examination ( (JEE) को स्थगित करने की मांग में शामिल हो रही हैं. इन सबका मानना है कि जब देश भर में COVID-19 मामले लगातार बढ़ रहे हैं और लाखों छात्रों के जीवन को सिर्फ परीक्षा के लिए खतरे में नहीं डाला जा सकता है.

Governments’ views : सरकारों का इस मामले में क्या कहना है – 

Naveen Patnaik, CM of Odisha लाखों छात्रों और अभिभावकों के जेईई और एनईईटी परीक्षा स्थगित करने की मांग पर कहा; “Odisha has got vast tribal pockets having geographically inaccessible areas…the students of these areas may be deprived of appearing in these tests, as they will have to travel long distances to come to the examination centres.”

Udhav Babasaheb Thackery, Chief Minister of Maharashtra : उधव बाबासाहेब ठाकरे, महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री उन्होंने JEE NEET के लिए चल रहे विवादों के बारे में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को एक पत्र लिखा और उनसे कार्रवाई करने की मांग की.

Aditya Thackery, Cabinet Minister of Maharashtra also wrote a letter to PM. In his letter he wrote “It is not a practical and feasible option to hold examinations in such a situation. Most of the states are facing increasing numbers of COVID-19 (cases) along with red zones (which have reported positive cases)” He has also demanded the government to postpone all academic activities in lieu of the situations around.

Mamata Banerjee, CM of West Bengal has been appealing the government for postponing the exam, in her recent tweet she said, “Now with the directive of [the education minister of India] to conduct NEET, JEE 2020 in [September], I would again appeal to the Centre to assess the risk and postpone these examinations until the situation is conducive again. It is our duty to ensure a safe environment for all our students” Earlier the day, she wrote a letter to PM demanding the same and now she with other CMs is moving ahead to SC. 

Manish Sisodia, Education Minister of Delhi has suggested the central governmnet to take an alternative method of admission and postpone these entrance tests for now as we are not in a condition to take these big level exams. In his tweet he wrote; “To think that the only exam is a way out for admission is an impractical and conservative thought. When other countries can have admission through different methods other than exams why can’t it be done in India,” he said. There have been demands from several students and parents to further postpone the entrance exams in view of increasing coronavirus cases.,”
