Ratio Concept: अनुपात का कांसेप्ट

आयु(ages) वाले टॉपिक को जानने से पहले, आइए पहले अनुपात के कांसेप्ट को समझते है। अनुपात मूल रूप से दो मात्राओं के बीच संबंध बताता है। उदाहरण के लिए:- A/B संकेत करते हैं कि उनके बीच एक निश्चित संबंध है। इस सम्बन्ध को इनमें तुलना करने के लिए भी इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है। यदि हम कहते हैं कि A, B का दोगुना है, तो हम बस A/B = 2/1 लिख सकते हैं। दोनों का मतलब एक ही है। अब “Ages” के कांसेप्ट पर आते हैं। यह एक ऐसा टॉपिक है जहां से हम आसानी से अनुपात के कांसेप्ट को लगा सकते हैं। आइए इसे कुछ उदाहरणों  के माध्यम से इसे समझते हैं।

Q1. The average age of the mother and her three children is 19. The average age reduced to 10 years if the age of mother is excluded. How old is mother?

(a) 32 years
(b) 40 years
(c) 38 years
(d) 42 years
(e) 46 years

Ans- Average of mother and her three children=??? ?? ??? ?? ???ℎ?? ??? ℎ?? 3 ?ℎ??????/4
Sum of age of mother and her three children=19× 4 = 76 ?????
Similarly, sum of her three children= 3× 10 = 30 years
Mother age’s=76-30=46years

Q2. Twenty years ago, the age of father and his son in the ratio of 8:3. Presently, the father is only 127th times of his son then find out the present age of son?

(a) 28 years
(b) 32 years
(c) 35 years
(d) 21 years
(e) none of these

Ans- Let the present age of son =7?
Then the present age of father=12/7× 7?=12?
ATQ,
12?−20/7?−20=83
? = 5
Present age of son =7?=7× 5 = 35 ?????

Q3. The present age of A and B in the ratio 7:12. 20 years ago, the age difference between Aand B was 15 years. Then find out the sum of present ages of A and B?

(a) 57 years
(b) 53 years
(c) 76 years
(d) 38 years
(e) 45 years

Sol.Let present age of A =7? years
And present age of B =12? years
Age difference always remains same
ATQ,
12? − 7? = 15
? = 3
So, sum of present age of A and B =7? + 12? = 19? = 19 × 3 = 57 years

Q4. 8 years ago, the ratio of the ages of Rachana and Archana was 4 : 3. If the ratio of their present ages is 6 : 5 respectively, what is the ratio of the sum and difference of their present ages?

(a) 11 : 2
(b) 11 : 4
(c) 11 : 1
(d) 11 : 3
(e) None of these

Sol. Rachana′s age/Archana′s age=6x/5x
8 years ago the ratio of their age =4/3
6?−8/5?−8=4/3
20? − 32 = 18? − 24
2? = 8
? = 4
Rachana’s age = 24 years
Archana’s age = 20 years
Required ratio = 44/4=11/1
