JOURNEY FROM A DREAM TO REALITY
I, Abhijeet Chaudhary completed my B.tech in Information Technology in 2017. I got campus placement in TCS and joined the organization to pursue my IT career. Being a bright student from my early age, my family members and friends suggested me to give a shot at government exams and from there my journey to chase my dream started:
Various exams given by me were:
SSC CGL 2017 – It was my first attempt for any exam and gave the exam without preparation to realize soon that competition was way tougher than what I expected. My total score in SSC CGL 2017 was 513/700. I was unsuccessful in securing a seat in the final merit list.
IBPS SO IT OFFICER 2017 – I switched to banking sector exams after the court case in CGL exam. Here also my horror run continued as I failed to clear even PRE Exam. This result was an eye opener for me and from there my journey towards achieving something started.
IBPS PO 2018 – I planned my preparation and with the time available with my job, I appeared for the exam and the result was better than before as I was able to complete whole recruitment process but missed the final merit by 2 marks.
IBPS SO IT OFFICER 2018 – This time I was fully prepared and result speak the volume of it. My Pre score was 90. (CUTOFF-70.88). My mains score was 36 (CUTOFF-29). But Interview was not upto the mark and I scored 60/100. My final score was 60 out of 100 (CUTOFF-60). I finally made it to the reserve list.
PNB SO IT OFFICER 2019 – After making through the final list of IBPS SO, it boosted my confidence and that showed its effect in this exam as I got RANK 3 in this exam and cleared it with flying colours. Finally, I was an IT OFFICER in PNB.
LIC AAO IT OFFICER 2019 – I topped this exam for IT POST. My scores are as follows: Pre-57 (CUTOFF-49). MAINS- 228 (CUTOFF-158). INTERVIEW-50/60. FINAL SCORE-278(CUTOFF-222).
SSC CGL 2018 – My overall score till TIER II is 542.60/600. I will be appearing for tier III this December.

I was doing my preparation while working so I have to manage my time precisely. I have divided my preparation in two sections:

- SSC CGL
BANKING
For Beginners, First and Foremost I will recommend everyone to buy ADDA ACE SERIES BOOK as it was very helpful for me.
REASONING ABILITY – ACE REASONING book (Do complete all the puzzles and seating arrangements which are given level wise-Easy, Moderate, Difficult, Previous Year Asked), Daily Practice Questions with Timer.(Adda app).
QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE – ACE QUANTITATIVE book, Practice DI as much possible.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE – Read daily your favorite section in the newspaper and try to summarize it in your words and daily editorial review on youtube. For error detection, Refer ERROR Rules pdf available on internet (ADDA).
GENERAL AWARENESS – English and GA are the real game changer here . It will help you in scoring safe marks. For this, Read Daily CA on ADDA247 App and follow it by reading GA capsules launched by various education sites (ADDA247). Since you have already read it once, revising from Capsules will be a Walk in the park.
IT Syllabus – ADDA247 IT OFFICER book for revision and MCQs practice. Focus mainly on basic concepts and prepare according to the weightage of the topics like DBMS, Networking, OS, Data Structures are more important than others.
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE HERE IS THAT ALL THIS WILL GO IN VAIN IF PROPER PRACTICE IS NOT DONE.
