1.PUMMEL : कूटना
Meaning:to hit someone or something repeatedly, esp. with your fists
Synonyms:bash, batter
Antonyms:lose, surrender
Example:She hates watching boxers pummel and be pummeled in the ring.


2.ORNATE : सरूप
Meaning:having a lot of complicated decoration
Synonyms:beautiful, elegant
Antonyms:dull, plain
Example:Some students are put off studying his work because of the ornate language of the poetry


3. DINGY : मैला
Meaning: Thickly covered with ingrained dirt or soot
Synonyms:dirty, drab
Antonyms:bright, clean

4.FURTIVE : गुपचुप
Meaning: Done in a quiet and secretive way to avoid being noticed
Synonyms: shady, sneaky
Antonyms: honest, open
Example:The look in his eyes became furtive


5. SCALD : पानी से जलना
Meaning:To burn the skin with boiling liquid or steam
Synonyms: blanch, heat
Antonyms: freeze, laud
Example:I dropped a pan of boiling water and scalded my leg.


6.REQUISITE : अपेक्षित
Meaning:necessary or needed for a particular purpose
Synonyms:essential, precondition
Antonyms:nonessential
Example:He lacked the requisite skills for the job.


7. ARTICULATE : सपष्ट रूप से भावना व्यक्त करना
Meaning:able to express thoughts and feelings easily and clearly
Synonyms:expressive, eloquent
Antonyms: misrepresented, unclear
Example:She gave a witty, entertaining, and articulate speech.


8. MANTLE : परदा
Meaning:a covering, or a layer of something that covers a surface
Synonyms:veil, blanket
Antonyms:uncover
Example:They escaped under the mantle of darkness.


9.ACCOST : संभाषण करना
Meaning:to go up to or stop and speak to someone in a threatening way
Synonyms:confront, address
Antonyms:ignore, refrain
Example:I’m usually accosted by beggars and drunks as I walk to the station.


10.DODGE : चकमा
Meaning:to avoid something unpleasant
Synonyms:ploy, scheme
Antonyms:real
Example:The Senator dodged questions about his relationship with the actress.
