1. Strident [strahyd-nt] =कठोर
Adjective: making or having a harsh sound; grating; creaking; having a shrill, irritating quality or character.
Synonyms: blatant, jarring, loud, raucous, vociferous, boisterous, clamorous, clashing, discordant, grating, hoarse, jangling, noisy, obstreperous, rasping, screeching, squawky, squeaky.
Antonyms: quiet, silent, soft, subdued.
2. Envoy [en-voi, ahn-] =प्रतिनिधि
Noun: a diplomatic agent; any accredited messenger or representative.
Synonyms: delegate, diplomat, emissary, minister, representative, agent, ambassador, bearer, carrier, consul, courier, intermediary, internuncio, legate, medium, messenger, nuncio, plenipotentiary, vicar.

3. Disarray [dis-uh-rey] =अव्यवस्था
Verb: to put out of array or order; throw into disorder; to undress.
Noun: disorder; confusion; disorder of apparel.
Synonyms: anarchy, chaos, disharmony, shambles, ataxia, clutter, disarrangement, discomposure, disorganization, indiscipline, jumble, muddle, snarl, tangle, unruliness, untidiness, upset, dishevelment, holy mess.
Antonyms: harmony, order, organization, neatness.

Example/उदाहरण: Rohit Bal arrested for drunken ruckus.

4. Ruckus [ruhk-uh s] =हंगामा
Noun: a noisy commotion; fracas; rumpus; a heated controversy.
Synonyms: brawl, brouhaha, commotion, fracas, fuss, hubbub, quarrel, stink, upheaval, uproar, bother, disorder, disruption, distraction, explosion, fisticuffs, fray, hullabaloo, interruption, racket, rampage, riot, rumble, rumpus.
Antonyms: calm, peace, harmony, order.

Example/उदाहरण: The Speaker is concentrating on ensuring that dissidents are kept out of any possible confidence vote, if and when one takes place.

5. Dissident [dis-i-duh nt] =मतभेद करनेवाला
Noun: a person who dissents.
Adjective: disagreeing or dissenting, as in opinion or attitude.
Synonyms: discordant, dissenting, nonconformist, sectarian, dissentient, heretical, heterodox, schismatic, unorthodox.
Antonyms: agreeing, conforming.

Example/उदाहरण: Just as this is done to prevent human-animal conflict, zoning around monuments is necessary to prevent monuments from defacement and to prevent the present from displacing the past by marring historical landscapes.

6. Zone [zohn]=क्षेत्र
Noun: any continuous area that differs in some respect, or is distinguished for some purpose, from adjoining areas, or within which certain distinctive circumstances exist or are established; the total number of available railroad terminals within a given circumference around a given shipping center.
Verb: to mark with zones or bands; to divide into zones, tracts, areas, etc., as according to existing characteristics or as distinguished for some purpose; to divide (a city, town, neighborhood, etc.) into areas subject to special restrictions on any existing or proposed buildings; to encircle or surround with a zone, girdle, belt, or the like.
Synonyms: banding, bordering, bounding, circumscribing, delimiting, girdling, marking, configurating.

7. Deface [dih-feys]=नुक़सान पहुंचाना
Verb: to mar the surface or appearance of; disfigure; to efface, obliterate, or injure the surface of, as to make illegible or invalid.
Related forms: defacement, noun.
Synonyms: disfigurement, impairment, vandalism.

8. Mar [mahr]=क्षति
Verb: to damage or spoil to a certain extent; render less perfect, attractive, useful, etc.; impair or spoil; to disfigure, deface, or scar.
Synonyms: blight, bruise, harm, impair, ruin, scar, spoil, stain, sully, taint.
Antonyms: aid, assist, build, clean, create, fix, grow, help, adorn.

9. Scrutinise [skroot-n-ahyz]=संवीक्षण करना
Verb: to examine in detail with careful or critical attention; to conduct a scrutiny.
Synonyms: analyze, check, check out, comb, consider, dissect, explore, inspect, investigate, look over, peruse.
Antonyms: forget, ignore, neglect, misunderstand.

10. Encroach [en-krohch]=अतिक्रमण करना
Verb: to advance beyond proper, established, or usual limits; make gradual inroads; to trespass upon the property, domain, or rights of another, especially stealthily or by gradual advances.
Synonyms: horn in, impinge, infringe, intrude, trespass, usurp, appropriate, arrogate, crash, entrench.
Antonyms: give, ignore, keep off.

11. Proactive [proh-ak-tiv]=सक्रिय
Adjective: serving to prepare for, intervene in, or control an expected occurrence or situation, especially a negative or difficult one; anticipatory.

12.Badinage=परिहास
Meaning: humorous or witty conversation
Synonym: repartee
Sentence: “he developed a nice line in badinage with the Labour leader”

13.Banter=मज़ाक
Meaning: the playful and friendly exchange of teasing remarks.
Synonym: wisecracks, crosstalk, wordplay; More
Sentence:”there was much good-natured banter”

14. Sobriquet=उपनाम
Meaning: a person’s nickname.
Synonym: alias, by name, cognomen, epithet
Sentence: “she was a vast and haughty person who answered to the sobriquet ‘Duchesse’”

15.Skulduggery=चालाकीपूर्ण
Meaning: underhand, unscrupulous, or dishonest behaviour or activities.
Synonym: trickery, swindling, fraudulence
Sentence: “a firm that investigates commercial skulduggery”
