मंगलवार को, नेशनल टेस्टिंग एजेंसी ने घोषणा की है कि दोनों परीक्षाएं सितंबर 2020 में तय तारीखों पर आयोजित की जाएंगी. राज्य सरकारों, राजनेताओं और कार्यकर्ताओं के अनुरोधों के बावजूद NTA ने साफ़ कर दिया कि परीक्षा तय तिथि को ही आयोजित होगी. आपको बता दें कि  JEE Mains  परीक्षा 1 से 6 सितंबर तक और NEET 13 सितंबर को आयोजित किया जाना है. जिसके बाद से कई छात्र और उनके माता-पिता ने COVID-19 के बढ़ते मामलों के चलते प्रवेश परीक्षा को स्थगित करने की मांग की है. 

Actor Sonu Sood, इस COVID-19 महामारी के दौरान जो सबसे लोकप्रिय चेहरा सोनू सूद थे, जिन्होंने लाखों लोगों की मदद की है, वह JEE, NEET परीक्षा स्थगित करने का समर्थन करते  है. उन्होंने 26 अगस्त को उन्होंने ट्वीट किया –“This is not an examination only for students. It’s and examination for the government too. The Government has an opportunity to excel by postponing #JEE_NEET for 60 days. Make it happen and bring those smile back. Students & Govt. can prepare in this time window. #PostponeJEE_NEET”

In his another tweet, he says “युवा पीढ़ी की ताकत पर हमारा कल है। हमारी जिम्मेदारी है कि इनके जोश को होश के साथ आगे बढ़ा सके।सकारात्मक ताकतों पर लगा सके।अगर युवापन सरकार तक अपनी आवाज पहुंचाने की कोशिश कर रहा है तो क्या गलत कर रहा है। विश्वास है कि संवाद बनेगा और स्टूडेंट के हित में फैसला होगा #PostponeJEE_NEET”

The famous author Chetan Bhagat too took a stand and talked about the depressive situation students are going through in this pandemic. He tweeted “I think a vaccine is around the corner and expected in a few months. Maybe the NEET and JEE could be postponed until then and see the situation in early 2021. Entrance exams cause enough anxiety anyway, adding COVID anxiety to it is not necessary.”

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi राहुल गाँधी ने भी केंद्र सरकार से छात्रों और अभिभावकों की परीक्षा तिथि आगे बढ़ाने की मांग को सुनने का आग्रह किया. उन्होंने ट्वीट किया – “GOI must listen to the #StudentsKeMannKiBaat about #NEET #JEE exams and arrive at an acceptable solution,”

Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy also talked about the need and demand of postponing these entrance tests. In his tweet, he said he had written to the Prime Miniser urging him to take a call on this situation. “I wrote to the Prime Minister. I know the exams are sacred, but the lives of the students are more sacred. You can’t make them take these exams under so much tension. Why can’t they be postponed till after the rainy season? The Ayush Ministry exams have been postponed. In Guwahati, Assam, Bihar, there are flood conditions!” 

MP Swamy tweeted “On the NEET / JEE exams, who will be known in the nation as of “vipreet buddhi” only time will tell.”

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also wrote a letter to the Prime Minister’s office, requesting to move the exam dates further till situations are favorable. In her letter she wrote, “In our last video conference with you, I had been vocal against the UGC guidelines mandating completion of terminal examinations in universities and colleges by the end of Sept 2020, which had a huge potential to put student lives at risk. My point was that this decision had a huge potential to put students’ lives at risk. We should not put any lives in danger during this pandemic period by taking such unilateral bureaucratic decisions.”

INC Spokeperson Jaiveer Shergill raised his voice against JEE, NEET exams that are going to be happen during the COVID-19 and fingerout the BJP government as “Student Virohi” in his tweet. He pointed out BJP as AntiStudentModiGovt by saying BJP does not care about the student’s health.

Bhuvan Bam, the famous Indian YouTuber with 20 million followers also questioned the government that why only the students have to risk their lives when everyone else is granted with work from home. He tweeted, “Are NEET and JEE exams getting postponed? While everyone is required to stay home and work, why to put student life at risk and not wait for the situation to get a bit normal?”

Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia दिल्ली के डिप्टी सीएम मनीष सिसोदिया ने कोरोनोवायरस महामारी के एवज में केंद्र से जेईई, एनईईटी परीक्षा को रद्द करने का भी आग्रह किया. पत्रकारों से मनीष सिसोदिया ने कहा –“The government is playing with lives of lakhs of students in name of JEE and NEET. I appeal Centre govt to immediately cancel both exams and adopt an alternative admission process”. He also added, “To think that only exam is a way out of admission is an impractical and conservative thought. When other countries can have admission through different methods other than exams why can’t it be done in India”

नेशनल टेस्टिंग एजेंसी ने पहले ही जेईई और एनईईटी प्रवेश परीक्षा के लिए एडमिट कार्ड जारी कर दिया था और घोषणा की थी कि सुरक्षा को पहली प्राथमिकता के रूप में रखकर प्रवेश परीक्षा की व्यवस्था की जाएगी. JEE Mains 1 सितंबर से6 सितंबर तक चलेगी और NEET परीक्षा 13 सितंबर को होगी. परीक्षा का प्रयास करते समय social distancing बनाए रखने के लिए परीक्षा केंद्रों की संख्या बढ़ा दी गई है.
