1. Appetite [ap-i-tahyt]-इच्छा/चाव/ भूख 
Noun: a desire for food or drink; a desire to satisfy any bodily need or craving; a desire or liking for something; fondness; taste.
Synonyms: craving, demand, fondness, greed, hunger, inclination, longing, lust, passion, penchant, propensity, stomach, taste, thirst, weakness.
Antonyms: apathy, disinclination, dislike, hate, hatred, indifference, lethargy.

Example/उदाहरण: Open acreage rules may enable exploration of 2.8 million square kilometres of sedimentary basins.

2. Acreage [ey-ker-ij]-क्षेत्रफल/एकड़ों में नाप 
Noun: extent or area in acres; acres collectively; a plot of land amounting to approximately one acre.
Synonyms: expanse, holding, parcel, plot, property, back forty, real estate.

Example/उदाहरण: The Election Commission’s order disqualifying Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra for three years is an important step in curbing ‘paid news’ in the electoral arena.

3. Curb [kurb]-नियंत्रण 
Noun: especially of joined stones or concrete, along a street or roadway, forming an edge for a sidewalk; anything that restrains or controls; a restraint; check; an enclosing framework or border.
Synonyms: barrier, ledge, rein, restraint, restriction, border, brake, bridle, chain.
Antonyms: freedom, center, encouragement, inside, interior, middle, opening.

Example/उदाहरण: Sri Lanka has unfurled a series of events to mark the sesquicentennial of its tea industry.

4. Sesquicentennial [ses-kwi-sen-ten-ee-uh l]-150वीं वर्षगाँठ (संबंधी) 
Adjective: pertaining to or marking the completion of a period of 150 years.
Noun: a 150th anniversary or its celebration.

Example/उदाहरण: Starting with the installation of a bust of James Taylor, the man reputed to have launched commercial cultivation of tea in 1867, the island nation has lined up many programmes throughout the year to commemorate the occasion.

5. Bust [buhst]-अर्ध-प्रतिमा 
Noun: a sculptured, painted, drawn, or engraved representation of the upper part of the human figure, especially a portrait sculpture showing only the head and shoulders of the subject.
Synonyms: chest, front.
Antonyms: back, exoneration.

6. Commemorate [kuh-mem-uh-reyt]-पुण्यस्मरण करना/स्मरण करना 
Verb: to serve as a memorial or reminder of; to honor the memory of by some observance; to make honorable mention of.
Synonyms: celebrate, memorialize, observe, remember, salute, admire, immortalize, keep, monumentalize, perpetuate, solemnize.
Antonyms: disregard, forget, ignore, overlook, dishonor, neglect.

Example/उदाहरण: Only, unlike Naoroji’s salvo against the colonial state, today we would want to engage with ours in order to ensure that it is fit for a democracy.

7. Salvo [sal-voh]-उपलक्ष्य 
Noun: an excuse or quibbling evasion; something to save a person's reputation or soothe a person's feelings.
Synonyms: barrage, bombardment, volley, burst, cannonade, gunfire.

Example/उदाहरण: It unambiguously refers to attempts to destabilise if not actually destroy India from the outside.

8. Unambiguous [uhn-am-big-yoo-uh s]-स्पष्ट 
Adjective: not ambiguous, or unclear; distinct; unequivocal.
Related forms: unambiguously, adverb.
Synonyms: actually, categorically, definitely, doubtless, exactly, positively, precisely, really, surely.
Antonyms: doubtfully, dubiously, questionably, uncertain, doubtful, incomplete, indefinite.

9. Destabilise [dee-stey-buh-lahyz]-अस्थिर 
Verb: to make unstable; rid of stabilizing attributes.
Synonyms: diminish, lessen, thwart, undermine, damage, foil, minimize.
Antonyms: enlarge, extend, increase, strengthen, add, build up, reinforce.

Example/उदाहरण: ‘26/11’ is only the most egregious instance of this.

10. Egregious [ih-gree-juh s, -jee-uh s]-प्रबल 
Adjective: extraordinary in some bad way; glaring; flagrant.
Synonyms: gross, outrageous, notorious, shocking.
Antonyms: tolerable, moderate, minor, unnoticeable.
