1. Endure [en-doo r, -dyoo r]=दृढ़ रहना
Verb/क्रिया: to hold out against; sustain without impairment or yielding; undergo; to bear without resistance or with patience; tolerate; to admit of; allow; bear.
Synonyms/समानार्थी: brave, encounter, experience, face, feel, go through, know, ride out, suffer.
Antonyms/विलोमार्थी: disallow, halt, hide, refuse, reject, retreat, run away, stop, surrender.

Example/उदाहरण: Stressing that GST would make it easier for global investors to bet on the Indian market, Mr. Modi sought to allay the anxiety in the business community about the preparedness for the transition to the new tax regime, and said that even though not everyone is familiar with technology, each family will have a Class X or XII student who can help carry out the GST compliance requirement of filing an online return each month.

2. Allay [uh-ley]=शान्त करना
Verb/क्रिया: to put (fear, doubt, suspicion, anger, etc.) to rest; calm; quiet; to lessen or relieve; mitigate; alleviate.
Synonyms/समानार्थी: alleviate, assuage, calm, ease, lessen, mitigate, mollify, pacify.
Antonyms/विलोमार्थी: aggravate, agitate, incite, increase, intensify, irritate, upset, worry.

3. Regime [ruh-zheem, rey-, or, sometimes, -jeem]=प्रशासन
Noun: a mode or system of rule or government:
a dictatorial regime; a ruling or prevailing system; a government in power.
Synonyms/समानार्थी: administration, establishment, government, management, reign, rule, system, dynasty, incumbency.

4. Compliance [kuh m-plahy-uh ns]=स्वीकृति
Noun: the act of conforming, acquiescing, or yielding; a tendency to yield readily to others, especially in a weak and subservient way; conformity; accordance.
Synonyms/समानार्थी: conformity, consent, acquiescence, amenability, assent, complaisance, concession, concurrence.
Antonyms/विलोमार्थी: difference, disagreement, refusal, disobedience, rebellion, resistance, defiance, denial, dissension.

Example/उदाहरण: Delhi breaks silence, says troops did not transgress territory.

5. Transgress [trans-gres, tranz-]=उल्लंघन करना
Verb/क्रिया: to violate a law, command, moral code, etc.; offend; sin.
Synonyms/समानार्थी: infringe, trespass, violate, contravene, disobey, do wrong, err, exceed, offend, overstep.
Antonyms/विलोमार्थी: behave, obey.

Example/उदाहरण: “The Indian troops trespassed the recognised and delineated boundary…  So the most pressing issue is the withdrawal of troops into the Indian territory,” Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lu Kang said.

6. Delineate [dih-lin-ee-eyt]=वर्णन करना
Verb/क्रिया: to trace the outline of; sketch or trace in outline; represent pictorially; to portray in words; describe or outline with precision.
Synonyms/समानार्थी: define, depict, lay out, limn, characterize, chart, detail, draft, draw.
Antonyms/विलोमार्थी: confuse, distort.

Example/उदाहरण: Does UP govt. give a fig for this tree? CM asks officials to prune gular trees.

7. Fig [fig]=अंजीर का वृक्ष
Noun: any tree or shrub belonging to the genus Ficus, of the mulberry family, especially a small tree, F. carica, native to southwestern Asia, bearing a turbinate or pear-shaped fruit that is eaten fresh, preserved, or dried; the fruit of such a tree or shrub, or of any related species; any of various plants having a fruit somewhat resembling this.
Synonyms/समानार्थी: aggregate fruit, mulberry, pineapple.

8. Prune [proon]=सूखा बेर
Noun: a variety of plum that dries without spoiling; such a plum when dried; any plum.
Synonyms/समानार्थी: back, shave, shear, shorten, snip, clip, dock, eliminate, exclude.
Antonyms/विलोमार्थी: accept, include, welcome.

Example/उदाहरण: The third is that GST will hopefully remove the cascading of taxes which was endemic in the previous system.

9. Cascade [kas-keyd]=जल-प्रपात
Noun: a waterfall descending over a steep, rocky surface; a series of shallow or steplike waterfalls, either natural or artificial; anything that resembles a waterfall, especially in seeming to flow or fall in abundance.
Synonyms/समानार्थी: avalanche, deluge, outpouring, torrent, waterfall, cataract, chute, falls, flood, force, fountain.

10. Endemic [en-dem-ik]=स्थानीय
Adjective/विशेषण: natural to or characteristic of a specific people or place; native; indigenous; belonging exclusively or confined to a particular place.
Noun: an endemic disease.
Synonyms/समानार्थी: local, regional.
